Our client is an integrated advertising agency with lifestyle clients. The agency won a fashion account last year and have been tasked with the branding efforts for the global campaign work that is fleshed out across print, POS and digital. They are looking for a Strategist to work predominantly on this account. This role is perfect for someone who understands pop cultural trends and has an interest in the fashion industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and presentation of brand positioning and communication strategies
- Monitor cultural and social trends, and their impact on consumers’ attitudes, behavior and perceptions
- Recommend and implement research that will aid in the consumer insight gathering and strategic process
- Possess a strong understanding of research (qualitative and quantitative) but more importantly know how to translate data into actionable insight. Provide thoughtful and well-written conclusions based on research and observation
- Ability to filter and select from all available knowledge to present a value-adding point of view
- Manage and disseminate primary and secondary research knowledge across all agency teams
- Create and present agency POVs
- Help to develop, write and bring key insights to life in for creative briefs and major client presentations
- Liaise with the client servicing team to ensure that consumer attitudes and needs are thought of at the beginning of the campaign
- Collaborate with clients and internal partners to generate ideas and strategies that utilize innovative, emerging media/technologies
- Be able to make recommendations on appropriate quantitative and qualitative research tools to address the business or creative issue
- Forge strong relationships with mid-to senior level marketing clients
- Uphold the agency’s core beliefs and is ultimately responsible for delivering the best in class work.
Requirements:
- Innate curiosity and aptitude to learn about marketing, brands, advertising, communications, culture, people, etc. a burning desire to dig into what makes them tick
- Experience writing creative briefs, research reports, presentations, white papers and internal company documentation
- Creative and/or an appreciation for creativity, desire to be part of a creative environment and is excited about the creative process
- Ability to convert and implement strategic plans into tactical ones
- Experience organizing and executing qualitative (focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnographic research) and quantitative research
- Presentation abilities for both internal teams and clients
- Ability to write well is essential
- Familiarity with emerging advertising industry trends including digital strategy
- Bachelors degree required
