Social Media Specialist – Leading Lifestyle Brand

Our client is a fun, flirty and leading lifestyle brand for girls and young women. Due to the brands continued growth and success; they are currently looking to hire an innovative and forward thinking Social Media Specialist who lives and breathes the social media space. The successful candidate will be able to provide a compelling voice for the brand and in doing so be able to resonate with their large following. He or she will be primarily responsible for leading all social efforts, paid media campaigns and organic presence on partner platforms. In doing so, he or she will own social strategy for the brand across all executions, including brand accounts, paid social, social based contests/sweepstakes, and social integrations on their web platforms.


  • Manage all paid media campaigns and paid digital partnerships for the brand and act as primary liaison with media agency
  • Develop and execute social campaigns and storytelling as components of key product launches and seasonal strategies
  • Focus on Instagram as core customer platform – driving engagement, elevating content and monetizing the platform to maintain the brand’s status as best-in-class
  • Oversee and mentor the client’s 40+ regional store Instagram accounts
  • Maintain and grow the client’s presence on additional partner platforms e.g. Snapchat, YouTube, WeHeartIt, Tumblr
  • Oversee social content calendar planning and execution
  • Analyze social and paid media performance and present insights and actions to leadership and cross functional partners
  • Partner with the events team to drive event traffic, lever event activations as content and incorporate social into on campus activations
  • Support the marketing strategy, coordinate with production teams to execute high impact engagement campaigns and amplify them across social channels
  • Focus on driving bra growth within social and partnership activations
  • Pattern digital landscape globally and competitively to identify best-in-class benchmarks and inspire campaign development
  • Develop launch strategies for emerging platforms
  • Responsible for maintaining efficient and collaborative working relationships with key internal partners (Creative, Copy, Merchants, Events/PR, Customer Care, International Marketing)
  • Effectively manage one direct report


  • Proven brand experience, with experience providing social media strategy on retail brands being a definite plus
  • Creative thinker who can bring new ideas to brand and keep it relevant
  • Motivated to perform in a challenging, fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve for tactical issues as well as proven strategic thinking
  • Must be highly organized, flexible and have a proven multi-tasking ability
  • Passion for the digital space and fashion
  • Ability to navigate an organization and build consensus
  • Can collaborate well with cross functional partners
  • Ability to apply analytical skills to develop insights and presentations to leadership teams
  • Experience managing agency relationships
