Our client is a renowned PR agency, that over time has secured and maintained a fantastic portfolio of prestige clients. The firm works across multiple categories including entertainment, luxury real estate, finance, lifestyle, consumer brands, travel, beauty, health and wellness. It is currently seeking an innovative and talented Social Media candidate at the Manager level to perform social media functions across multiple agency accounts. He or she will be responsible for executing exciting and innovative social media efforts for a variety of clients. This position entails leading the day-to-day social media and digital operations and brand elevation for this diverse roster of clients.  The agency is seeking an individual with a background in social media and public relations. This person should also possess exceptional writing skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple clients’ needs. Responsibilities:

  • Manage a growing division and junior staff members
  • Help to successfully grow the division
  • Serve as the social media lead and manage multiple clients and their needs
  • Develop “out of the box” social media initiatives and campaigns
  • Manage social media division independently with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Manage all social media platforms
  • Create compelling and exciting content for social media platforms and clients

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of social media experience at an NYC public relations agency
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of all things social media related as well as the broader digital space
  • Excellent writing skills are required for this position
  • Proven ability to manage client needs
  • Platform management experience
  • Intricate knowledge of all social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, Google Plus, Flickr, Foursquare and Vimeo, MySpace, YouTube, Digg, and more
  • Proven experience in creating unique and engaging strategies for these outlets, and in presenting these ideas to clients
  • Superior knowledge of these programs and the interfaces that connect with them
  • Strong managerial skills and experience of managing a team
  • Proven ability in successfully maintaining multiple social media voices
  • Innovative and strategic thought capabilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Creative and energetic personality
  • B.S/B.A, preferably in a related field
