Our client is an international luxury jewelry company and they are currently seeking an Executive Director of Global Communications. He or she will play a critical role in regards to overseeing all global communications for the brand. The successful candidate will also manage all elements of executing global press strategies, driving brand awareness and developing compelling storytelling that elevate the brand and tie back to company values.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all communications programs and execute strategies for all key brand priorities
- Leverage online, TV, print and key influencers to expand brand footprint, drive meaningful storytelling and reach new audiences
- Conceptualize and execute “out-of-the-box” PR stories and strategies with an understanding of consumer insights, cultural trends and pop culture
- Tailor messaging based on geographic, cultural, and media landscape
- Develop creative story angles and secure meaningful coverage across digital, print and broadcast
- Oversee the VIP Outreach program that includes targeting the appropriate influencers for the brand and building long-term relationships
- Create compelling communications materials for all launches and key initiatives
- Handle press requests and interviews in a timely manner
- Establish and manage communications process and protocol, guidelines, tools and materials
Serve as a mentor to the junior team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and an extensive communications background working within luxury, fashion and/or other relevant industries
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal, including the ability to present and sell communications concepts
- Proven track record creating successful communications programs from concept to placement
- Established media, celebrity and influencer contacts
- Ability to lead, manage and develop a team and leverage key strengths and capabilities
- Team-oriented, highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to be agile and adapt to changes as well as execute with excellence in meeting deadlines
- Ability to energize and enable others
- Ability to think strategically with an understanding of the marketplace, trends, pop culture and the consumer environment
- Master’s Degree a plus
