Our client is one of the nation’s leading destinations for online ordering. The company has experienced a tremendous amount of growth since its launch and currently has over 1 million users. The company has been aggressively expanding its offering across consumer categories in the US and beyond. As a result of their rapid expansion, the company is looking to hire an experienced Email Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, analytical individual with a passion for email marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creative process, content messaging, segmentation, and frequency/calendar
  • Oversee the email production process and creation of every email (with ESP), ensuring flawless execution and adhering to industry best practices
  • Act as the owner of day-to-day execution of all email campaigns including newsletters, transactional, triggered, etc.
  • QA all versions of each email campaign, including rendering testing
  • Report on results and provide insights and recommendations
  • Research and innovate based on peer activity and best-in-class strategies and execution
  • Increase customer engagement and overall success of the company’s email marketing program
  • Build and enhance the online presence of the company’s customers through profile creation on social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. and the company blog
  • Develop time and action calendar for social media as well as manage creative development and legal approval processes
  • Measure and report growth and engagement of social media initiatives; analyze effectiveness of campaigns and determine if and what action is required in order to improve upon program results
  • Maximize interaction with social networks on a daily basis to keep communities engaged; respond to fan posts regularly while maintaining the voice of the brand
  • Execute paid social media campaigns including Facebook ads, promoted posts, Twitter promoted tweets, cards, and others
  • Manage two interns in the development of social content and executing paid fan/follower and customer acquisition campaigns
  • Grow both the email and social media marketing channels and identify segment trends and opportunities

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-6 years of relevant email and digital marketing experience
  • Experience working directly with Sailthru or other leading ESP for email and executing both paid and unpaid campaigns across leading social media platforms
  • Understanding of email marketing best practices/CAN-SPAM and social media best practices/success factors
  • Ability to juggle and coordinate multiple projects across several key marketing channels simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze a range of key performance metrics and synthesize findings into clear trends and actionable recommendations
  • Outstanding communication skills with a focus on teamwork and follow-up
  • Excellent and proven project management and organizational skills
  • Passion for technology start-up businesses
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS, SQL is a plus
