Our client is a leading mid-sized global public relations agency and is industry-recognized for its work in consumer lifestyle marketing and social media, corporate communications, public affairs and government relations, consumer technology, healthcare and visual branding. Our client is seeking a Director of Search and Paid Social who understands how to demonstrate ROI beyond CPM, CPA and CTR. The advertising specialist will be responsible for biddable media planning (search, social, etc.), fan or follower acquisition, content amplification, bid management, key word optimization, testing and analysis. The position is a great opportunity for a talented candidate looking to work with search engines and social networks (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) while developing and managing effective paid social campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop internal capacity to execute paid media campaigns by managing and mentoring junior staff on the day-to-day execution and monitoring of paid social media and  strategies
  • Lead campaign testing recommendations, implementation and performance analysis
  • Provide appropriate direction and supervision to team members in developing paid strategy, determining key words, writing ad copy, executing audience targeting, campaign execution, and providing performance metrics
  • Prepare and deliver presentations
  • Oversee and QA all budget changes provided by associate prior to implementation
  • Act as lead contact for paid digital and social media partnerships and related communications
  • Utilize working knowledge of media research and application to media planning/buying
  • Oversee the error-free implementation of search campaigns and optimizations
  • Seek out information to remain current on media trends

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (graduate degree a plus)
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant digital paid media experience, including deep expertise in social advertising platforms and experience working in traditional search and display advertising
  • A passion for digital marketing
  • Ability to interface with senior level clients and account teams throughout the planning, budgeting and engagement process
  • Expertise at translating data and analytics into client-friendly reporting documents that validate performance and success
  • Strong oral, written and presentation/communication skills, with a background in pitching and proposing new business
  • A firm grasp of digital communications and social trends (beyond paid search and social media) and how paid media fits into integrated communications campaigns
  • Experience using Adwords, AdCenter; third-party campaign management tools a plus (Doubleclick, Marin, Kenshoo, etc.)
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and multi-task on existing business
  • Ability to foster collaborative and fun cross-functional teamwork with enthusiasm and creativity
  • Prior experience at a search engine marketing or digital advertising agency is strongly preferred
