Our client is a fast-growing, online marketplace headquartered in New York City and is seeking a seasoned Director of Quality Assurance to join their team. This individual will work closely with the product management team and reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer will manage all Quality Assurance efforts of the company. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join a growing and successful startup.
Responsibilities:
- Set the strategic direction of the Quality Assurance team
- Partner with product management team and additional engineers to establish user requirements and application feature sets
- Develop a strong operational method to measure and improve quality throughout release and deployment
- Monitor core processes and analyze data to develop efficient action plans
- Establish criteria for QA team to ensure effective achievement of objectives
- Manage the process of creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Establish new tools for manual and automation testing
Requirements:
- 6+ years of QA experience within an online startup environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in manually testing web-based and mobile applications
- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding best practices in Quality Assurance
- Experience handling external QA vendors and services
- Proficiency with QA Automation Testing and its applicable technologies (Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Jasmine, etc.)
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
- Must be entrepreneurial with the ability to thrive in a startup culture and work collaboratively with others
