Creative Project Manager – Cosmetic Company

Our Client is an innovative beauty brand that is sold via QVC, Ulta Beauty and Ecommerce. They are currently seeking an experienced Creative Project Manager, this is a key hire for the company as it is crucial to the success of the creative department. He or She will be responsible for keeping the Art Department organized and on-track with all projects and communicating regular status reports to the Vice President of Creative. The Project Manager will create calendars, including all project touch points, organize and lead regular meetings, and ensure all collateral is routed, approved, and released timely and efficiently. The Creative Project Manager will be responsible for keeping all cross-functional business partners and their deliverables aligned with the creative calendar.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the development of all global packaging initiatives, in-store collateral, POS displays, promotional assets, print production and media deliverables
  • Develop and manage a project approval and routing process for all creative department projects
  • Work directly with Creative Vice President, art department, and cross-functional teams (Product Development, Marketing, Sales) on all packaging initiatives, POP collateral, advertising, direct mail and web
  • Develop and drive design, production, photo shoot and retouching timetables with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate and aid in presentation of all artwork reviews and next steps for all aspects of project development including final design approvals
  • Partner with Production Manager to correlate design logistics to final submitted art
  • Coordinate and route artwork to principal teams for final sign-off for printing
  • Develop and enhance the processes for the design and production of marketing materials across a broad spectrum of media (print, web, displays, packaging, tradeshows, advertising, etc.)
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of high quality marketing materials that meet the goals of the brands business
  • Maintain high-quality deliverables through knowledge of production processes and best practices (printing, brand standards, etc.)
  • Keep senior management informed through regular project status reviews, reporting, and update meetings
  • Ensure all promotional selling initiatives are strategically aligned with brand objectives and design vision
  • Coordinate post-production phase of photo shoots, retouching, photographers and video shoots
  • Develop proposals, manage budgets and prepare all cost estimates with vendors
  • Responsible for preparing, managing and executing Sales Meeting programs, materials and presentations for Market Week
  • Manage and maintain creative digital asset libraries; keep creative department informed on file management procedures
  • Ensure all promotional selling initiatives were strategically aligned with brand objectives and design vision

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ Years of experience in design-related project management, ideally in retail and/or packaging
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Highly organized and process-driven
  • Stern and diplomatic, yet friendly in their approach to problem solving
  • Works well in a fast-growth, tight deadline environment
  • Ability to go beyond the job scope when needed
