Our client is a creatively driven, integrated advertising agency with a great roster of lifestyle, retail, spirits, and food/beverage clients. The agency culture is very collaborative, entrepreneurial, and team oriented. They seek a smart and driven Business Development Lead (a “hunter”) to help them expand their client base—targeting and building relationships with relevant clients and thinking out of the box in terms of appropriate brands to approach.Reporting into the Managing Director, this candidate will play a crucial role in growing the agency and leading strategy alongside senior management. It is important to note that the agency is open to senior account management and strategy candidates who also have great business development experience in their roles.
- 7-10 years of business development experience in an advertising agency setting
- Relevant category experience as well as an existing network of contacts is highly preferred
- Proven track record of success in targeting and winning new clients for the agency
- The ability to work independently
- A proactive and hungry mindset (no fear in picking up the phone and making the call)
- A team oriented attitude
