Our client is a leading mid-sized global public relations agency. The agency is industry-recognized for its work in consumer lifestyle marketing, corporate communications, public affairs, consumer technology, social media, and visual branding. Our client is currently seeking a Vice President with diverse public relations account experience in the technology sector for a leadership role in their New York office. He or she will be responsible for directing an elite portfolio of national accounts and in doing so they will play a key role in creating and managing innovative PR campaigns for the agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as a strategic advisor to clients and will be working to ensure that client relationships not only exist on multiple levels, but continue to grow over time. Responsibilities:
- Develop and manages projects and programs, including strategies, implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, timelines and budgets
- Work with senior managers to identify and address supervisory training, leadership and career development needs
- Establish and maintain relationships with key client contacts and ensures that client/agency relationships exist on multiple levels and grow over time
- Ensure that work is delegated to the appropriate experience levels within the team structure
- Manage the day-to-day business and client relationship on several accounts
- Direct development of range of materials developed by account team including client memos, press releases, speeches, articles, brochures, presentation and collateral materials
- Develop accurate project budgets and monitors them effectively
- Oversee timely development and distribution of bills and activity reports
- Deliver strong analyses, strategy and concepts to new program development
- Manage people in an effective, productive manner that will develop their skillset and loyalty to the firm
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism (or related field of study)
- 10+ years of PR experience in a PR agency setting, with substantial tech focused experience
- Experience managing people and teams, strengthening team dynamics and inspiring success
- Possess the ability to be a team leader, independently develop programs, and oversee the development and delivery of high-quality work products
- Understands business trends for industry segment and products
- Has depth and diversity of account experience that informs public relations counsel
- Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with social media
- Basic understanding of how to manage budgets for pieces of business or several projects within a large account
- Strong client management skills, superior media relations and presentation skills
