Our client is an established and iconic PR firm. The agency works across multiple categories including entertainment, beauty, health and wellness, luxury real estate, lifestyle, consumer brands and travel. The firm specializes in strategically providing counsel for their clients and is currently seeking a seasoned PR executive to head up the firm’s entertainment group. He or she will be responsible for executing publicity campaigns for several leading entertainment clients, including celebrities, authors, nightclubs and entertainment firms. Candidates must demonstrate extensive knowledge of media relations with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement strategic media campaigns to generate coverage in print, broadcast and online media outlets
- Manage several entertainment accounts independently
- Prepare, research, and write press materials
- Formulate publicity plans
- Develop creative publicity story angles
- Create customized media lists and supervise press mailings
- Organize special events
- Participate in weekly publicity and marketing meetings
- Develop and foster a stellar rapport with current and potential clients
- Develop “out of the box” media strategy campaigns
- Manage a team of PR executives
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of entertainment experience at a PR agency
- A solid track record working with entertainment related clients
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Strong media contacts and excellent writing skills are essential
- Proven ability to create media programs from concept and follow through to placement
- Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
