Our client, an international jewelry and accessories designer, is currently seeking a Senior Retail Operations Leader. Our client is open to this role being based in Connecticut, New York or Boston. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the brand’s retail concept is implemented in a defined number of stores throughout North America. Additionally, the Senior Retail Operations Leader will oversee training, operational performance and achieve KPI’s and specified retail targets within the yearly business plan. Working closely with sales representatives, merchandisers and franchisees, this individual will be responsible for insuring retail execution in line with brand image to maximize overall retail performance and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  •  Responsible for ensuring that the  store is consistent and compliance with all retail guidelines and visual standards

  • Partners with franchisees to insure the execution of all applicable guidelines and policies
  • Develop and execute all retail plans to enhance the brand’s position and image
  • Communicate a clear and consumer-relevant brand position through flawless in-store execution
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Merchandising to build consensus to exceed retail goals
  • Involvement with new product releases, managing store inventory levels to achieve best profitability and product turns
  • Responsible for achieving sales product goals by market
  • Develop and implement plan for the training each store and individual action plans for each store in your territory constantly developing the store to increase KPI performance
  • Set and communicate budgets, KPI goals and objectives for individual stores (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly)
  • Track retail efforts, measure compliance, results, and effectiveness; make action plans to ensure the retail targets are reached consistently
  • Discuss results weekly with the Franchisee Store Managers and suggest they communicate results to their staff on a weekly basis.
  • Utilize the KPI and Mystery shopper program for constant feedback and improvement
  • Make sure all new staff is trained and in compliance with company selling techniques and company history
  • Assist Franchisee Store Managers in creating local events and campaigns
  • Meet with Franchisee Store Managers to address retail operations concerns or issues
  • Stay abreast of field concerns and industry trends and developments, as well as attend required trade shows

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in multi store retail operations in a specialty store environment. Wholesale sales experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience from working with sales related training within the retail arena
  • Strong business acumen including experience working with KPI’s and other performance metrics
  • Understanding of retail operations principles and their application in the retail environment
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management, build partnerships and direct teams
  • Must be able to develop, work against, and meet tight and aggressive deadlines and goals
  • Must be a self-starter with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
