Our client is an innovative beauty brand that is sold via QVC, Ulta Beauty and Ecommerce. They are currently seeking an experienced PR Director to run all of communications for the brand. He or she will be responsible for internal and external communications, including PR strategy and media relations. This individual will play a key role at a fast growing, influential brand competing with iconic names in the industry. He or she will be working collaboratively and cross functionally in order to successfully develop and implement a comprehensive media relations program to elevate the brand.

PR Director

Responsibilities:
• Strategy: develop and implement comprehensive communications and media relations program that is linked to the brand and company objectives
• Work with cross-functional team to develop and execute breakthrough programs and ideas
• Responsible for ideating and implementing initiatives across: communications plans, press releases, and strategic partnership activities
• Manage implementation of brand communications plan and ensure execution excellence
• Utilize strong relationship skills to cultivate and manage media and industry decision-makers
• Execute communication strategy across multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo, Blogs, etc.)
• Keep abreast of consumer and industry insights to develop and execute opportunistic execution and communications programming to help tell the brand story
• Provide a complete communications calendar to ensure team has proper time to develop and execute communications plans with excellence
• Champion the brand positioning and brand voice, to make sure the brand experience is all coming from the same place
• Develop and manage comprehensive internal communications plan to drive key company initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ years of communications experience with a focus in Beauty, skincare, or cosmetics
• Strong ability to generate ideas and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to drive a consistent brand story across all touch points
• Ability to navigate and communicate across brand and external social media channels (including blogging & social networking)
• Experience using various communications measurement approaches to measure impact and identify areas of opportunity/improvement
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must possess strong strategic thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and problem solving skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to be the brand
