We are currently working with an innovative beauty brand that is sold via QVC, Ulta Beauty and e-commerce. This company has experienced enormous growth in recent years by developing products with cutting-edge skin care technology and innovation and we are helping to build out their creative and marketing teams to help support said growth.

They are looking for a Director of Social Media and Content Marketing to be the engaging voice and storyteller behind the brand across a variety of social media and content platforms. The ideal candidate will be more than just savvy in social media; you will have spent a great deal of time engaging with female consumers in the beauty or fashion space and understand how to drive deeper, more meaningful experiences for a brand’s consumer base. Whether your experience has been managing communities for consumer brands across multiple platforms or engaging an audience through a compelling story, this role will require you to build upon those experiences in an effort to drive meaningful engagement for branding and, ideally sales.


  • Manage and grow communities on all social platforms driving passionate engagement with brand loyalists
  • Spark discussion and monitor conversations across social media and address important mentions in real-time through engagement, escalation, or documentation
  • Work closely with marketing and digital on social media and video content marketing strategy, plus editorial calendar development
  • Own and proactively manage editorial calendar
  • Lead content & social media marketing team and outside agencies
  • Post daily on branded social media channels, maintaining a consistent voice across channels aligned with branding and target audience
  • Curate content from internal and external sources and share across appropriate social channels
  • Discover trending topics, community needs, and interests of target audience across social media, adjusting content and messaging accordingly
  • Generate insight into community performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Create social media reports and aggregate data into actionable insights to inform marketing
  • Own and produce video shoots in partnership with video production team
  • Write scripts for how to videos
  • Manage social media and video production budgets
  • Reports to VP Marketing


  • Relevant experience at a brand, publishing company or agency within the beauty or fashion realm
  • Deep understanding and passion for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
  • A nuanced understanding of how to craft messaging and branding
  • A creative eye for spotting trends and finding compelling people and stories in the social media community, particularly in, but not limited to, beauty, fashion and women’s interests
  • Open-minded and innovative people person with a passion for telling stories
  • Proven ability to source, write and edit stories that engage and inspire
