Our client is a premier, international event production company that specializes in producing high-end, large-scale events for a range of leading fashion brands. Their services include producing high-profile events such as fashion shows, presentations, dinner parties, PR events/stunts, red carpet events and consumer product launches.  The agency is actively seeking an accomplished Director of Event Production for their New York Office, to lead their overall event strategy and event production. This role requires a highly creative individual with experience in both big picture ideation and attention to the obsessive detail involved in the production of a special event. The ideal candidate for this position is creative, resourceful, energetic, confident and extremely organized. This individual will have experience planning, building and executing high budget experiences during Fashion Week as well as more intimate, innovative occasions like editor presentations and cocktail parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and freelance event coordinators and external partners
  • Ideate and develop concepts for clients, branding and marketing events
  • Maintain tight control over every minute detail of an event and its execution
  • Source, analyze and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and venues
  • Build and manage event budgets, time lines, logistics and contractual obligations
  • Provide regular reporting surrounding event status, performance to budget, and client communication for all events

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of events experience, including executing large and small scale events in white spaces, private homes, hotels and bars
  • Experience in luxury, retail or large scale corporate events
  • Experience managing full life cycle of events, from ideation to execution to wrap up
  • An acute passion for details
  • A passion for bringing surprise and delight elements to every event
  • An ability to run creative meetings and generate visionary event ideas
  • An incredible network of vendors, suppliers and venues nationally
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills combined with a sound understanding of business objectives and financial measurements
  • Impeccably organized person
  • An amazing ability to prioritize and multi-task, attention to detail, and pride in the work
  • Familiarity working in a fast-paced, demanding and deadline-driven environment
  • Incredible communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of the standard MS Office products suite
